A LEGACY OF FLAVOR

Chef & Founder
Nigel Henderson
Chef Nigel Henderson’s culinary journey began in 2008, following a successful career in the entertainment industry—an experience that continues to shape his creative approach to food, storytelling, and hospitality. A graduate of both Le Cordon Bleu and Morehouse College, Nigel has built a career defined by cultural depth and technical excellence. His path led him from Los Angeles to New Orleans, where he refined his craft under the legendary Chef Leah Chase and the Chase family at the iconic Dooky Chase Restaurant. There, he developed a deep respect for heritage-driven cuisine and the power of food as a cultural experience. Back in Los Angeles, Nigel brought his expertise to some of the city’s most respected kitchens, including The Kitchen for Exploring Foods and The Peninsula Beverly Hills. He later served as Executive Chef, leading the reopening of Jack & Ben’s, the corporate restaurant for WME/IMG—where he combined culinary precision with high-level client service. Driven by a passion for creating meaningful and memorable food experiences, Nigel founded The Feast LA—a chef-driven culinary company focused on elevated catering, private dining, and experiential events. His work blends bold flavors, cultural storytelling, and a commitment to quality ingredients and thoughtful execution. Throughout his career, Nigel has had the privilege of serving professional athletes, celebrities, and government officials, while contributing to national music festivals, film productions, and brand activations. In recent years, he has expanded his presence in media and entertainment—working on multiple productions, appearing alongside Blippi, and being featured on local news outlets, further showcasing his versatility both on and off camera. In 2013, Nigel helped bring the impactful social movement #HashtagLunchbag to New Orleans, reinforcing his commitment to community engagement. That same year, he launched The Nola Truck, a celebrated food truck known for its modern take on Creole and Southern cuisine. The truck gained national recognition through appearances on Travel + Escape’s Rebel Without a Kitchen and Adam Richman’s Fandemonium, along with multiple local media features. Today, Nigel continues to expand his culinary footprint through The Feast LA, where he curates immersive dining experiences, caters to high-profile clients, and collaborates on creative culinary projects across food, media, and hospitality. He also shares his knowledge through cooking classes and storytelling as the host of The Gumbo Pot Podcast, highlighting voices and stories from the culinary world. Driven by his passion for exceptional food experiences and a commitment to sustainable practices, Nigel founded The Feast LA. His vision is to create unforgettable culinary moments by utilizing locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. Nigel has had the privilege of serving Hollywood elites, government officials, participated in national music festivals, contributed to film productions, and supported local fundraisers.
