Spicy Mango Beer Battered Fish & Shrimp Tacos Using Golden Road Mango Cart Ale Recipe

Updated: May 25, 2020

This past Friday I took over Golden Road Breweries IG account to cook up a memorial day feast of beer battered fish & shrimp tacos using their Mango Cart Ale. Check out the recipe and video below.

1 lb Halibut/ Cod Filet cut into slices

1 lb 26-30 Shrimp (Peeled & De-veined)

2 Cup All Purpose Flour

1/2 Tsp Creole Seasoning

2 Large Egg

2 Cup Golden Road Mango Cart “spicy”

Kosher Salt & Cracked Pepper to Taste

Creole Seasoning

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, lightly salt & pepper the halibut & Shrimp and set aside. Prepare batter. In a seperate mixing bowl add 1 cup of flour and add creole seasoning. In another large mixing bowl, add flour, kosher salt, egg, and beer. Stir together until well mixed and set aside at room temperature. In a table top fryer/wok, preheat the oil to 350°. Dip fish & shrimp (separately) into the dry flour batter and fully coat, next transfer individually into the wet batter and allow excess batter to drip off before adding to oil. Fry the shrimp & fish, flipping to ensure it's evenly browned, 4 to 5 minutes, then place on a paper towel-lined plate and season with salt.

Warm tortillas in a dry skillet. Serve tacos with rema and garnish with cabbage, avocado, cilantro, and lime.
